Minutes of May 20, 2010 Monthly Meeting

The normal monthly business meeting was not conducted and was replaced by a nature walk at the home of Mary Ann Bierly. 15 members and guests attended the informative talk and walk about the Bierly property along Mugser Run in Fisherdale.  Both native and exotic plant species were observed, many of which are noted to be beneficial to support animals, birds and insects for both food and habitat.  The property also demonstrated good conservation practices related to a riparian buffer along Mugser Run.

Hellbender Marathon Chair Dan Brassington showed the group some of the medallions that will be presented to race participants and handed out brochures for members to distribute to promote the event.
