Meeting minutes: July 20, 2006

7 PM Weiser State Forest/Roaring Creek Tract

NOTE: No ‘official’ minutes recorded for today’s meeting, as primary nature of event was social in aspect.

Attendance: Many familiar faces, as well as a number of first-time attendees. All present met at Route 54 parking lot of Game Lands. DCNR provided transport to A-frame picnic area of McWilliams reservoir. During ride to pavilion, DCNR Forester, R. ‘Marty’ Martynowych, gave description of flora and fauna of the tract, including various trail system along the way to meeting area.

At the picnic area, Mark Deibler, DCNR staffer, offered presentation about history of the Watershed. Next, everyone enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgs, various covered dish items provided by participants of the meeting.

A short, informal discussion was held by association members to discuss water sales at upcoming historical baseball game, as well as on-going development of logo design and possible ways to use said design to promote the RCVCA.

To round out the evening, Marty and Mark took all on tour of former McWilliams property.

Next meeting tentatively scheduled to be held on 8-17-06 (later changed to 8-24-06) due to vacations of board members.
