Meeting Minutes: July 19, 2007 6-9 PM Weiser State Forest–Roaring Creek Tract
Informal meeting was held on State Forest grounds. DCNR provided transportation
from Rte. 54 parking area to picnic pavillion at McWilliam’s reservoir. En route to picnic area, DCNR staffer R. ‘Marty’ Martynowych described flora along the roadway, as well as some recent projects completed within the area. At the picnic pavillion, DCNR District Forester Mark Deibler talked about history of the once privately-owned land and how the State of PA acquired the property. Mark talked about renovations and updates to the tract, as well as short-term and long-term projects for the facility.
Bob Rush, President of RCVCA, started informal discussion about continued progress on
topics such as signage within the watershed; brochure development; logos for apparel; and next month’s meeting, to be held August 16, 2007, 6 PM at Rohrbach’s Orchard and Farm Market.
